An album of black & white photos taken by the late Peter Mitchell of buses operated by London Transport’s Country Buses division across the northern half of the London Country operating area, arranged in a roughly clockwise order starting in High Wycombe and finishing in Tilbury.
The photos mostly date from the 1950s and 1960s when London Country buses formed part of London Transport.
Most of the photos are of RTs or single deck RFs. Other vehicle types featured include the smaller GS and RLH types, as well as Routemasters. Locations depicted include a good mix of town centres, housing estates and country roads.
