A full colour album looking at narrow gauge steam railways in the Americas in the twenty first century. The volume is arranged as a journey from east to west across the USA and Canada, before heading south through Central and South America.
All the photos are from the camera of renowned railway photographer, James Waite. The images are presented in one-per-page format and all are accompanied by explanatory text providing further information about the featured locomotive or the heritage railway on which it operates.
Most of the illustrations show trains in action and every effort has been made to recreate scenes as they would have looked when the trains were operating in service, rather than as heritage lines. Some locos are seen at rest, or in depot/workshop settings. 120 pages. Hardback.
