The picturesque Bergisches Land region was once criss-crossed by a dense network of interesting branch lines, most of which are no longer in existence.
Lines such as the Aggertalbahn, Volmetalbahn and Wissertalbahn once served the towns and villages of the region, but many closed during the 1980s and 1990s as they were deemed uneconomical.
In this book, author Bernd Franc Hoffman traces the history of the closed lines of the area and examines what can be seen of them today.
Well-illustrated with over 70 recent colour and archive black & white photographs. German text. 128 pages.
