This DVD contains footage of all forms of transport in and around the Saxony-Anhalt capital city of Magdeburg, including trams, buses and passenger and freight trains operated by DB and various private operators such as Abellio and LTE.
A visit to the city’s commercial port on the River Elbe is also included, and there are archive scenes from the DDR and post-reunification eras, including a “Plandampf” involving steam haulage of regular timetabled trains in the 1990s, and the bomb damage to the city during World War II.
