Part of a series of colour albums from the late Richard Riley’s archive of photos, this one covers the rail network in Devon and Cornwall in the last few years of steam traction between the mid-1950s and the early 1960s.
The book features photos from the South Devon and Cornish Main Lines, including classic locations such as the Sea Wall at Dawlish and Teignmouth, and several shots from the byways and branch lines including long closed routes such as those serving Tavistock and Launceston.
The RC Riley Colour Collection: Western Region - Devon & Cornwall presents a selection of colour photographs of steam trains operating around Devon and Cornwall during the final years of steam.
All of the photographs are accompanied by detailed captions. Hardback. 128 pages.
