This book tells the story of the Far Tottering and Oyster Creek Railway, a 381 mm gauge miniature railway at the 1951 Festival of Britain site in Battersea Park on London’s South Bank. The railway had previously featured in a series of cartoons in Punch magazine in 1939.

The book describes the background to the project, the route of the railway, its infrastructure and rolling stock. There are also short chapters on the fatal collision of 1951, the Festival Gardens Railway which operated at a different location nearby from 1953 until 1975, and what remains of the former route of the railway today.

Contains approximately 10 colour and 20 black & white photographs, 5 maps, 14 drawings and 5 cartoons. 56 pages.
