Classes covered include the Stanier designed Princess Royal and Coronation Pacifics, as well as the Princess Royal Pacific which was modified into the Turbomotive locomotive.
Photographs are presented in one-per-page format with extensive captions accompanying each. In compiling this book, the author has used images from photographic collections including Colour Rail, Rail Archive Stephenson, The Transport Library and Transport Treasury, allowing an excellent selection of images to be included.
