A superb colour album of photos of buses in Scotland’s major cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee taken between the 1950s and 1970s. Some trolleybuses are also included, and trams can be seen in a few of the photos taken in their last few years of operation. Most of the photos have detailed captions. The main chapters on each network describe the history of bus operation in the city concerned until local government reorganisation in Scotland in the mid-1970s and cover the municipal operators, featuring a mixture of single and double decker driver-only and crew-operated vehicles. At the back there is a chapter on Scottish Bus Group and independent operators.
