Bus writer and enthusiast Andrew Bartlett has put together this superb album of bus photos from between the 1970s and the present day taken in locations all along the South West Coast Path starting at Minehead and finishing at Poole Harbour, taking in the north and south coasts of Cornwall and Devon.
Some photos of the towns and scenery along the route are also featured along with steam trains on the Dartmouth and Swanage railways, Dart Estuary and Isle of Purbeck ferries and a tram on the Seaton Tramway.
The book is divided into chapters for each section of the route, each of which starts with a map and a short description of that section and its main visitor attractions. There is then a summary of bus services along that section of the route, past and present. Most of the photos have detailed captions. A good variety of vehicles are featured, including single and double deckers, coaches, minibuses and open-toppers.
Hardback. 152 pages. Over 150 photos, mostly colour.
