This book tells the stories of 57 people (one for each km of tunnel) involved in the planning and building of the Gotthard Base Tunnel.
A short introduction to the project is followed by a look at each of the 57 people. Short pieces of text look at the work each person carried out, or at how the new tunnel will impact on their lives. Portraits of each person are included, as are a number of other colour photographs.
