This magazine-style publication from Eisenbahn Kurier contains details of all locomotives and multiple units in service with Deutsche Bahn in 2025.
There are chapters on electric locos, diesel locos, dual mode locos, ICE trainsets, suburban and regional EMUs, DMUs, and departmental units.
For each class of locomotive or unit the book gives a brief history and description including their current operations. A table of basic information about the type is presentedm which includes technical data and number ranges (not fleet lists).
At the front there is a chapter on surviving ex-Deutsche Bundesbahn and ex-Deutsche Reichsbahn loco and unit classes such as the Class 111 electrics, Class 218 diesels, ICE 1s, Class 420 EMUs and Class 628 DMUs. Each chapter is well illustrated with colour photos.
