In this book, railway historian Herbert Hieke traces the history of the Ludwig-Sud-Nord-Bahn between Wassertrudingen and Hof, which opened in 1844.
As well as the construction and early years of the line, the book also examines how this section of line has been used through the decades, right up to the present day. This is presented using some text, but largely by using archive black & white and more recent colour photographs of trains operating on the line.
