In the DDR, the filming of trains and railways was strictly prohibited and closely monitored. Despite this, photographers and film makers took the risk and captured photographs and images of railways during this period.
This DVD is a compilation of footage from inside the DDR. Includes scenes of narrow gauge railways which have since closed, as well as of the mainline railways in East Germany. Parts of the footage have been converted from black & white to colour.
