Diesel in East Yorkshire: Four Decades of Change has been compiled from the photographic collections of six local railway enthusiasts. It has captured many unrepeatable workings and interesting visiting locomotives as part of a comprehensive record of the many changes that have taken place in the railways of East Yorkshire.
Every photograph is accompanied by an extensive caption to record and illustrate how passenger and freight services have grown or declined, and how the infrastructure of the railways has evolved to meet the needs of the modern railway era.
