The latest addition to Robert Schwandl’s series of illustrated reviews of the urban rail networks of major cities, this one covering the Czech capital city of Praha (Prague).

It includes a historical overview of each system in turn and then looks at present day operations using high quality colour images of the operating fleet and important architectural features of each network. Some archive photos have also been included.

An introduction to public transport in Prague is provided, covering operators, ticketing and routes. This is followed by a look at the city’s metro system, including its history, present day services and rolling stock. There are then chapters on each line of the network including the projected Line D. Next, the book turns to the city’s Linky S (suburban rail) and tram networks.
