First generation railed public transport existed in Nottingham for nearly 58 years, initially by horse power, then subsequently electric traction.
This publication provides a photographic record of these trams at work along the routes they served, illustrating scenes from the late Victorian era through to the post Edwardian periods.
Second generation trams now serve the citizens of Nottingham, in the form of the city's Nottingham Express Transit system.
